At Kimura CrossFit, your wellbeing is our top priority. To guarantee your participation in our activities both safely and with confidence, we’ve established an easy-to-follow three-step process designed to smoothly guide you into the world of CrossFit.

1. Complete Ramp On Course >>>

If you’re new to CrossFit, our Ramp On course is the perfect starting point. Here, we’ll guide you through the fundamental movements essential to CrossFit, teaching them in a detailed, step-by-step manner.

Once you have finished the Ramp On course you will be ready for Step 2.

2. Choose a Membership >>

Now that you know what you’re doing with the workouts, we have a number of memberships that will meet with your training schedule.

You can pay monthly with our recurring WOD memberships or our Punch Card Pass. You can even pay for a single class if that suits your schedule.

3. Book your class

Your membership includes access to a mobile App called BoxMate. This is where you will book your classes, record your workouts and even high five your team mates.

Choose between two class types, WODs (Workout of the Day) and Open Gym, using the ‘Schedule’ tab in the App.

Ramp On Course

Our Ramp On course is where we will introduce you to the fundamental movements used in CrossFit and we will teach them to you step-by-step.

In CrossFit, we’ve got nine essential movements that are really the heart of our training. They help us with improving our strength, agility, and endurance. Once you’ve got these down, you’re equipped to tackle a wide variety of physical challenges with confidence!

The Ramp On Course is structured across three training sessions, each lasting 2 hours. In each session, participants will learn three of the nine fundamental movements, totalling nine movements by the course’s end. Sessions are scheduled for Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. However, it’s flexible; you don’t need to start on a Monday. Just ensure you attend one session on each of these days – Monday, Wednesday, and Friday – to complete the training on all nine movements. Each session has the following parts:

  • White Board Introduction

  • Warm Up
  • Coaching of 3 of the 9 Fundamental Movements

  • Work Out

The Ramp On course schedule means that you can be ready to train in the daily Work Out of the Day (WOD) after one week.

Active Mums Fitness

Kimura CrossFit presents Active Mums Fitness, a fitness training program for mums that want to take their fitness journey to the next level.

The sessions are designed to allow mums to train from the very early postnatal stages all the way through to high intensity training. Every workout is scaled to the individual and every session is fully coached in a small group session. We celebrate small victories and we all support each other knowing that we all get better together.

Kids & Teens CrossFit

CrossFit For Kids Near Me
Kimura CrossFit Kids & Teens CrossFit program follows the guidelines of the official CrossFit Kids coaching and programming. Our coaches are not only qualified to teach CrossFit but have also taken additional qualifications to correctly teach kids and teens with age appropriate exercises and workouts.

The program lets the kids and teens develop their fitness, strength and health in a challenging and fun way. These workouts are great alone but often kids and teens pursue other sports and this is where the CrossFit training will give them an edge in other sports. Providing them with well developed strength and fitness along with other attributes like coordination, mobility and confidence.

I wad brand new to crossfit. Thought about signing up a few times. Found out that Kimura wad opening up right round the corner from me so had no excuses. I signed up the first week that they opened after chatting to Leigh. I have been a gym goer on and off for years but olympic style lifting was new to me. The Ramp on classes were a great introduction to crossfit. They are challenging but its great to feel you are making progress after a few weeks of the WOD’s. All of the instructors are great and the gym has a nice friendly atmosphere. There are all different abilities and fitness levels in the gym (unfit dad bods like me 😂) theres no judgement! just a community encouraging each other to get fitter and stronger together. A lot of people think getting into CrossFit is expensive but when you break it down and realise you are getting amazing coaching at every session at Kimura CrossFit, its great value for money. You won’t regret signing up (except for Burpee days 😝🤣)

I have trained at different Crossfit boxes and a variety of fitness companies over the last 10 years in Aberdeen and I have honestly never felt more welcome than i have at Kimura. The coaches are friendly, helpful and create a great atmosphere to get fit both physically but more importantly, mentally. If you have not been past yet, you need too. This box is new and just getting started but watch this space, it is going to achieve great things

I was new to CrossFit (and to instructor-led fitness in general) before starting classes with Kimura, but I very quickly realised I had nothing to worry about. The instructors are very knowledgeable, friendly and supportive, and they adapt each workout to the ability level of each participant. All ages and abilities are welcome, and I’ve really enjoyed my time there, it feels like a truly sustainable, long-term approach to fitness.
